The potash industry gathers in Kunming to seek the development plan for potash fertilizer

On March 28, the 15th Annual Potassium Salt and Potash Fertilizer Conference was held in Kunming. It was sponsored by China Inorganic Salt Industry Association and organized by Potash Salt and Potash Fertilizer Industry Branch. Nearly 200 participants attended the conference.

Wang Xiaofeng, president of China Inorganic Salt Industry Association, pointed out that in the past year, the potash salt and potash fertilizer industry has fully implemented the requirements of a series of policies and measures issued by relevant ministries and commissions of the state to ensure supply and stable price of agricultural chemical products, and fully assisted relevant ministries and commissions to complete the work of ensuring supply and stable price of domestic potash fertilizer, laying a good foundation for the realization of the “14th Five-Year Plan” goals and tasks.

According to reports, in 2022, the overall operation of domestic potash production is stable, and large-scale potash production enterprises are working hard to overcome difficulties and explore the potential to increase production. According to preliminary statistics of the association, in 2022, the actual quantity of domestic resource-based potash fertilizer was 10.22 million tons, and the output of domestic resource-based potash fertilizer increased by 11% year-on-year. Among them, potassium chloride increased by 13.64% and potassium sulfate increased by 3.08%, which successfully fulfilled the production task of increasing potash fertilizer by one million tons assigned by the state at the beginning of the year and contributed to ensuring the domestic supply of potash fertilizer.
